The 8th is very important for the Chinese. The Eight Morals explain why he is very lucky or lucky when he follows Badec. The pronunciations of "eight" and "prosperity" in Chinese are almost the same. Traditionally, for the spiritual Chinese, they are associated with "Bade." The eight major roads that follow are also closely related to the Buddhist teachings in the correct eight-way road. 8 virtues follow the following important levels:
1] Filial Piety - Filial piety is the most important virtue of the eight virtues and the origin of all good deeds. No filial piety, like a tree without roots, or water without an origin. It is a fact that charity starts at home. If a person is not good to his parents, then it is likely that all other good things he has done are not real or ulterior motives. The devotees of the Tao are always asked if they have the filial piety of "Zeng Zi" [the disciple of Confucius is known for his filial piety. Zeng Zi is one of the four Confucian scholars and one of the authors of the Confucian classic university. Great learning &# 39; around 500 BC].
2] Brotherhood - This is the concern and concern between brothers and sisters. They grew up under the same roof and experienced many experiences, both hard and happy. Therefore, brothers and sisters are as closely related as our hands and legs. The old man is generous and tolerant, the young people endure, and then there will be brotherly love, the family will be harmonious and prosperous.
3] Loyalty - When we perform any task, we must be honest and sincere. The task must be reasonable and legal. We must do our utmost to complete the task and remain fair. There should be no false statements when we report or speak. Through righteousness, we are not afraid to let people see what we are doing. We don't do anything credible to keep integrity and glory. When we are able to face God or the gods, the state and society, our parents and our spouses, we are considered loyal.
4] Trust - The word "trust" means having confidence in the words or character of another person. The success or failure of a business or profession is also based on trust. There is a saying, "If you say it, you can't take it back." This means that the content can't be explained. If we want to gain trust and respect, then we must abide by our commitment to others and perform our duties earnestly. There must also be unity between speech and action. With these, trust will prevail.
5] Etiquette - It shows exquisite and polite manners. If we are rude, we will belittle ourselves and lose respect for others. Our status and personality can be expressed through courtesy. Polite people are more likely to be modest and upright, polite to the elders, and kind to young people. If we treat others politely, others will treat us as well. We will not do anything that offends public morals. Confucius said: "Don't see evil, don't be evil, don't be evil, don't be evil." By observing these four things, etiquette will prevail. Without it, the world will be completely disordered. Therefore, we must pay attention to our own behavior, and at the same time show respect and love for others. In this way, we will have a healthy and healthy character.
6] Justice - This is a fair and honest act. In any of our actions, our actions must always conform to our conscience. Although there are temptations around us, we must adhere to our own principles. Anything you want must be obtained through the right course. If we gain wealth unscrupulously by hurting others to benefit ourselves, then sooner or later we will get revenge. Therefore, a good person is not eager to get ill-gotten gains, but generously helps those in need and relieves suffering. Not only will he be respected by the people, but he will also bring honor to his ancestors and set a good example for his descendants.
7] Integrity - This means keeping purity and integrity in our actions. A person with integrity has no selfish desires and evil thoughts. He will not do anything contrary to his conscience. He is honest with his friends and is a responsible person. When dealing with money, he is doing his duty. He is not indulging in sensory pleasures, he is an upright gentleman. Therefore, in order to maintain integrity, we need to be more self-disciplined.
8] Shameful - Everyone has a sense of shame. Those who understand shame will be honest and fair. If a person does not understand shame, he probably does not have upright thoughts and actions. We must pay attention to our speech, actions and thoughts to avoid our own fall. We should avoid doing things that may cause suspicion, which can cause stigma and embarrassment and ultimately undermine the family's reputation.
Our thoughts are the seeds of good luck or bad luck; if they are wrong, we must correct them according to the virtues. If we lose humanity, we are actually no better than animals. Filial piety and brotherhood are the foundation of human beings, and practitioners must practice them first. If we are filial and obedient, the gods and the people around us will respect us. God and the saints will be happy when other virtues are practiced and there will be no evil or crime.
Regarding the first virtue, my heavenly teacher, JiGong, said: "When a mother raises a son or a daughter, she will never consider what the child can give her in the future before she provides care. Because she gave birth to him, She only knows to love him and take care of him. She also knows that he may disappoint her when he grows up, but she still misses him and takes care of him, even to the extent of his guilt and death for him. For him No resentment, no regrets - this is the mother's heart, this is the Buddha's heart."
