Organic scutellaria has many names in its history, including scutellaria and local weeds. Botanically, the plant is classified as a leguminous plant, and belongs to the same genus as peas, beans and alfalfa. However, unlike its relatives, it has no pods.

It has been claimed that astralagus may also inhibit the growth of cancer and prevent diabetes. Although research in this area is inconclusive, some studies in the United States have shown that astralagus supplements can help cancer patients reduce the damage to the immune system after chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
For normal healthy people, the risk of using organic vanilla herbs is small. However, people with autoimmune diseases should not use organic Astrasgen until more information is available. People taking anti-rejection drugs, especially cyclophosphamide and corticosteroids, should avoid taking organic Astras unless approved by a primary care physician.
In addition, organic steroidal herbs are known to cause interaction or reduce the effectiveness of certain over-the-counter drugs.
