Recently I discovered an exciting art form. It is called reverse hand drawn or NeQwa. The word NeQwa in Chinese means that the hand is painted on the glass. This particular form of art began in China centuries ago. The original exquisite paintings were done inside a "snuff bottle" or other small glass container. These items were commissioned by emperors and senior staff and became a very precious treasure.
This rare art form is still being completed in a studio in China, where talented and patient artists design blown glass ornaments of various shapes and sizes for North American and British artists. Stewart Sherwood, Jim Shore, Susan Winget, G. Famous artists such as DeBrekht and Peggy Abrams created original designs for these paintings, many of which are limited editions, used to distribute collectors and other unquestionably received jewelry as gifts and appreciation of untimely beauty.
The art form itself is the most interesting. Use a special advanced glass tube to blow the glass. These components are internally etched to ensure that the coating will adhere to the glass when painted. However, etching makes it extremely difficult for the artist to see the inner brush and accurately determine where the paint will be placed. This is the need for talent and patience!
The artist uses a combination of inks and paints, including acrylics, watercolors and oil paintings to create these beautiful works of art. The first step is to develop a set of brushes needed to draw a particular design. These brushes are hand-crafted by the artist to achieve the exact size required, and some do not exceed one hair on the head. Unlike traditional painting, the artist starts with the foreground and ends with the background. First, use Chinese ink to carefully contour and blend to create the finished product. Then the artist starts the first color. Allow each color to dry before continuing to use the next color, and finally mix the colors. Sometimes decorations can be done in a few hours, sometimes in a few days.
The finished product is signed by the artist and certified by the company, authorizing it to ensure that it is authentic. Then pack it in a cute velvet box with a satin lining and a certificate of certification. Partially limited editions are packaged in leather cases. These decorations are made up of decorations that are not sold separately and are usually presented in finished wooden boxes with satin lining.
These artworks are fun to own and receive gifts. I personally have started collecting from the Santa Collection and various angels.
