A boy of about ten years old came to this summer before Shadrach made a request to his family. The boy, Paul [Scotttra] and his son, the Little Mole [Daniel Tras], became quick friends, spent the summer games, swimming and growing up.
Although the adults at home spend time worrying about surviving in the depression and letting the sheriff's prying eyes away from their silence, these boys are attracted to mysterious black visitors. The gentle men give them information will only increase their curiosity. Although the adults made all the wrong assumptions, it was exactly why Shadrak walked 600 miles just to bury where he grew up, and the boys could figure it out.
When he talks to the boys and observes their game, they will soon understand that he will not die here and be buried, but to relive his childhood. Although he knows that the ending is close, things will never change, but he can relive his childhood by observing two new friends.
This is a wonderful film about the boyhood and grows with the outstanding performance of two young actors. A movie is definitely worth a look.
