"Broken nose" is a documentary about boxers, Andy Marna, who has never been able to grow bigger, but never lost his love of boxing. Andy is the son of a boxer and has never been to the top, but through his skill and dedication, his son has instilled a passion for boxing. In pursuit of his boxing desire, Andy took the young boy under his wings and taught them complex boxing.
Through the documentary, the audience was brought into Andy's private life from childhood to now. Interviews with two groups of parents [his parents divorced, both of whom have remarried] give us insight into how Andy grew up, how he developed his personal philosophy, and how he became a boxer.
Through the film, Andy saw his enthusiasm for boxing. Although he did not reach the full professional level, there is no doubt that this young man has even a passion that will not die. This can be seen in his interactions with the young boxers he coached.
Some boys conducted personal interviews describing how they benefited from Andy Mincer's training. He will never make them too arrogant. When they win a battle, they will laugh at them and throw them into the losers of the battle.
In a painful scene, we saw Andy lying on the ground, a group of boys huddled around him. Even if they are joking, you can see that they have great love and respect for the teacher. His love of teaching boys is as strong as his love of boxing.
Although the film may be dragged down in some areas, its overall effect is very beautiful, because it depicts a boxer who falls in love with his sport and has the knack for passing this passion to the next generation. People may feel that Andy loves himself more than boxing or mentoring from watching this documentary, but this impression is not a fair evaluation of the film. This is a great boxing movie that reveals the inner workings of the boxer. Must see any fans of boxing.
