The Lensatic Compass remains the primary function of land navigation with precision bearings. The military uses the functionality of this compass to help command artillery and mortars because it can be used to obtain accurate bearings through the line of sight.
One has three main components from
Lensatic Compass:
Cover: Protect the compass rose dial. It contains a compass sight line and a luminous aiming point for night navigation.

Where are all the movable parts of the compass? The floating dial rotates to indicate the direction each time the compass remains in the horizontal position.
On the floating dial, the bearing pattern at the edge of the dial depicts the east [E] and west [W] directions. The direction arrow is located in the center. This always points to the direction of North [N]. It is inclined at 90° in the east and 270° in the west. There are also two dimensions. The external scale represents miles and the internal scale represents degrees. The internal scale indicator is red.
The bezel ring is also located in the compass base. The ratchet device will rotate 120 times during full rotation. Each click represents 3°. The short incandescent line is used with the north arrow in the navigation.

This line is located on the glass side of the bezel ring. The floating dial also contains a fixed black index line. The last part of the base is the thumb ring. This simply attaches to the base as a processing mechanism.

This is why the floating dial is read. The rear view slot works with the front line of sight in the cover to help navigate and position objects.

In addition, this slot protects the compass when in the off position. This works by the locking and clamping system. The mirror mechanism must be open at least 45° to allow the compass floating dial to operate.
This is the compass I use because I think it's more accurate, it can give you more information on the same compass, such as miles and degrees. It looks like a compass that is harder to learn, but most people, I know to use this compass because it is more fun to use.
