Learn Chinese tips, including preschool children and toddlers

The first thing: Which Chinese want to learn?

Mandarin is the official language of China and Taiwan. It is the majority dialect of Chinese in mainland China and overseas. Cantonese has not been used since the United Kingdom transferred Hong Kong to China. It may become a dialect used between family and friends. Or for commercial purposes, Mandarin is more practical.

Learning Chinese at home

A good way for children to learn Chinese is to learn Chinese DVD, video and audio CDs. These DVDs are specially designed to give your child the best touch of Chinese tones and interesting things to watch. The learning rhythm on the DVD has been carefully programmed to help your child remember words and phrases. On the other hand, Chinese songs on the CD are great for traveling or when the child is relaxing. For older children, you can play stories on Chinese CDs to give them more exposure to more Chinese vocabulary and sentence structure.

If one of the parents speaks Chinese, one can arrange for the parent to talk to the child in Chinese and the other to talk to them in English. Children have the ability to keep up with each parent's language.

Exposing children to Chinese natives

o Chinese tutors can teach children and even the whole family to speak Chinese. Check out online or newspaper ads to find out which tutors are available.
from

o Playing dates with kids who are learning or already knowing Chinese is a great way to expose your child.
from

o Another option is to hire a babysitter who speaks Chinese. Students at local universities are usually spouses of half Chinese or Chinese. This can be an option you can try.
from

o Other families receive au pairs from China.
from

o Some families hire Chinese nannies to ensure that their children hear the Chinese. Be careful when hiring. To be honest, there are many people in the United States who don't have the necessary documents, but they are all nannies. The nanny also takes care of your children, so it is very important to choose the right person, especially if they live with you. Our friends have experienced multiple nannies, this is not a good experience.

Learn Chinese online

Online Chinese course with adult English pronunciation. So far, I don't know if there are online courses for kids who speak English.

Chinese private school

Traditionally, non-public Chinese schools teach children to use Chinese when their children are old enough to sit still and copy roles. Most schools still use the rote teaching method used in China and Taiwan. Children in the United States are very independent, so rote memorization may not be the best way for children to learn words and characters. Conversely, the Montessori or ESL method may allow children to learn Chinese. These methods emphasize the use of Chinese in conversations. Other professors who use a lot of singing and other fun activities will definitely make it easier for children to learn Chinese.

Summer camp

Chinese summer camps allow children to fully immerse themselves in the Chinese language. The summer camp may be a weekend trip to the United States, a full boarding school stay, or a few weeks of travel to China or Taiwan. Few websites offer the largest list of Chinese summer camps, so stay tuned.

Learning Chinese materials

There are many products on the market that can help children learn Chinese. Books, videos, audio CDs/tapes and software can be used to learn Chinese at home. These materials not only expose children to vocabulary or tone, but also show the beauty of Chinese culture. These materials can also be used for parents and children to spend time together.

books

Teaching Chinese from books is a big challenge. A parent/adult should know how to read it. Bilingual books are a great help for families who are starting to study together. A storybook that can be read with an audio CD is useful for learning the correct pronunciation. The wonderful primer for reading and writing Chinese characters is Dragon is a dragon. For the smaller children, I won't take a bite and it is a very interesting material. Children will be able to touch and feel the texture of different types of animal skin.

film

Video is taught through fascinating visuals, songs and repetitive vocabulary. The audience will also learn about the different places and characters. In a DVD of the Jade series, Jade teacher went to a Chinese kindergarten. Children can compare the look of their own school and classmates. The Baby Series has 5 interesting videos that teach Chinese vocabulary for many common vocabulary. Baby is a panda, children like to learn Chinese words.

Audio CD

Chinese CD can be divided into 2 types:
from

o 100% Chinese songs and stories. Some do not have printed guides, some include books/booklets
from

o Learning Chinese CDs are designed for those who learn Chinese as a second language. These CDs usually include books, Chinese, English and Pinyin brochures. Songs are sung in Chinese and English, or brochures display English translations. For example, the songs in "Teach me Chinese books" and "CD" are very popular and sing in Chinese and English. Parents can also learn to sing for children, such as happy birthday. This series also comes with a teacher guide. Others learn Chinese books and CD series, such as singing and learning Chinese series and songs that let us sing Chinese and make the audience interesting.

software

So far, I am still waiting for a very recommended software that is easy for learners to use.
