Introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

Traditional Chinese Medicine [TCM] involves the use of Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, moxibustion, qigong, massage [Chinese massage] and medicated diet. It is one of the oldest medical systems in the world and has its own Chinese medicine. Principles, diagnostic methods and therapies. It has become very popular in the West.

Meridian and collateral

TCM uses Zang-Fu to observe the meridian and collateral networks, and Zang-Fu classifies tissues and organs into organic wholes. Each Tibetan, dirty organ transports blood, regulates yin and yang, and maintains functions and activities in various parts of the body. The system guides the diagnosis, treatment and application of all sub-disciplines of Chinese medicine.

Yin and Yang

Chinese medicine also insists that the health of all parts of the body is attributed to the relationship between yin and yang. The theory of yin and yang is a general principle for the classification of health and disease as a whole by Chinese medicine, and also provides clinical guidance for the prevention and treatment of diseases.

Diagnosis

The diagnosis of TCM depends entirely on the doctor's awareness to obtain clinical data. It consists of four diagnostic techniques: inquiry, examination, auscultation [listening] and olfactory [olfactory], pulse sensation and palpation.

Treatment

Chinese medicine has three basic components: Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture and massage [Chinese massage] therapy and diet therapy.

Herbal therapy

This is based on the principle that good health depends on achieving optimal vitality and balance - this is a balance that is described in terms of the polarity of yin and yang.

Chinese herbal medicine comes from nature, including flowers, stems, leaves, roots and bark. Each herb has its own characteristics. Their different characteristics are used to treat diseases, correct excessive or hyperactive yin and yang, and help the body to restore its normal physiological functions - thus curing the disease and restoring health.

Chinese herbal medicines [herbal doses and powders] usually depend on your condition, physique and age. For serious emergencies and stubborn problems of young and strong patients, minor problems are minor, as well as older, infirm, and children and pregnant women, it should be larger.

When you start treatment, your doctor will carefully choose a different herbal dose or powder form to treat you and closely monitor your progress through regular consultation. As the condition changes, the treatment will change accordingly.

Acupuncture and massage therapy

This is two practical therapies for Chinese medicine. They regulate the body's meridians or passages, relieve the stagnation of blood, balance yin and yang, maintain their function through additional acupuncture points, scalp points, ear points and other special acupuncture points [in the case of acupuncture] or by massage therapist's fingers, hands and Limbs.

When using massage for infant and prenatal care, there are some special points along the acupoints of 14 meridians and extra points. Mainly use push, rub, and friction operations.

Diet therapy

Every food [vegetables, fruits, meal, nuts, etc.] has its own specific characteristics. We can guide you in the treatment of the best food based on the actual condition of the disease, the nature and function of the food, and the treatment requirements found through a doctor's consultation.

Other treatment

Frequent use of moxibustion, cupping therapy, ear authority, electrolysis, electrotherapy [without needles]. All of these follow the same principles of acupuncture therapy.
