Vietnamese women are often very shy and are not as impressed by Western culture as women in Korea, China or Japan. In other parts of Asia, foreigners may be an interesting sight, not in Vietnam. Vietnamese culture is somewhat conservative. Every culture in Asia is so unique that it is difficult to compare or contrast, but Vietnam is especially a stunning and unique country with some very interesting and beautiful women.
Anyone traveling here should know that they will have to work harder to attract Vietnamese women than in other parts of Asia and to date in a slightly different way than they are used to.
Because Vietnamese women are more shy, it means you have to be more active. For the average Asian woman, you don't want to be too aggressive [although most people are still not enough].
There is a difference between being too dominant, or insisting on surpassing her initial shame.
In particular, Asian women from China and Vietnam have almost never taken the first step. As a man, you should know how and when to do so.
They won't kiss you first, you need to know when the best time to try and kiss a Vietnamese woman. Now, an overly aggressive guy may try to screw his tongue to their throat when they first meet a Vietnamese woman [which is bad, don't do it!] to mess up his chances.
Although a smart and obsessive person may realize that Vietnamese women are very shy, they still like him, even if they refused him for the first time they kissed. For example, Thai women are very similar and will hardly kiss you on the first date - but expect you to persevere and see this as a test of how much you like.
Dating Asian women is different from where you originally came from, I can guarantee, but Asia has many different countries and cultures, and these different cultures often produce different dating norms. It's not always easy to seduce a Vietnamese woman, especially if you are not used to her dating rules, you really don't know how to attract her.
