Embroidered Digital Caps - Top Ten Tips for Success

A powerful promotional tool like a baseball cap makes it harder to digitize them. These popular ad collections often come to the digitizer's desktop, with badges ranging from letter sets to logos, slogans and even website addresses. The unique shapes and fabrics on the hat make them difficult, but digitization is not impossible.

Considering that successful advertising starts with flawless design, here are a compilation of ten tips that can help you provide a perfect embroidered hat:

1. The first tip actually requires some cooperation from your client as it involves finding a hat brand that perfectly matches the embroidery frame. Not all hats are the same and different in shape, size and even paneling. Before starting the digitization process, have your customers test some samples to find the brand that best fits the device so that there is no hit once it starts.

2. Be sure to ask about the type of frame used for embroidery. While some people keep some frameworks, others tend to use only one or two frames that come with the machine. This will further help you narrow down the basics.

3. Although the height of your design depends more or less on the size of your hat, we recommend sticking the maximum height of 2 inches or 5 cm to prevent curved letters and misaligned contours. But when? from

For designs with a width greater than 4 inches on a 6-panel cap, or even a small letter near the top of the peak, remember to come out of the middle to avoid any wrinkles.

5. Center seams can be a big problem for some people, but for best results, we recommend using the 80/12 needle and moving from the ball to the sharp point, which will help the needle Stay sturdy throughout the embroidery process. In addition, you should choose Teflon coated needles and polyester threads for smooth production.

6. For perfectly aligned letters with outlines, it is best to digitize all elements [letters + outlines] and colors at once, then move on to the next one.

7. If it is an unstructured hat, the heavy and hard backing will give the best results, while the relaxed hat style will work better when the double layer tears the backing. Avoid using the leather cap to fully support, but increase the stitch length or column width.

8. When is it? from

For high-wool, heavy-weight fabrics such as wool or corduroy, remember to recommend decals to your customers. While additional padding and tension compensation can work, decals can provide more professional results.

9. Whenever you face the command on the front and side of the embroidered cap, be sure to recommend 270 frames. These frames help to sew the entire design without redesigning, providing an excellent choice for wraparound design. In addition, in this case, the continuous backing works best.

10. When placing the left chest logo on the hat, be sure to recommend new digitization for your customers, as this small investment will help them save on damage due to cap damage, design distortion, needle damage and production stagnation.
