There are occasional reports in the media about local Chinese using dinosaur fossil drugs. It is hard to believe in the use of dinosaurs and other fossils in medicine in the West, but the use of fossils in traditional medicine is actually very common. In fact, the various keels and other such items in the Far East have considerable transactions. Most fossils are ground into fine powders that are then added to herbs, animal remains, seeds and fruits to make up for local remedies. Ralph von Koenigswald discovered a new fossil protozoan - the largest ape in history. He named the new animal Gigantopithecus [Gigantic Ape], which is believed to weigh more than 550 kilograms. If they can stand on two feet, they will be more than 3 meters tall.
This huge fossil has been discovered in China and Vietnam. It is a herbivore, eating fruits and bamboo. However, if you want to see dinosaur fossils and don't want to visit the museum, try going to a local Chinese medicine store and you will find the things on the shelves really amazing - even the dinosaur bones are ready for traditional medicine.
The locals become the best dinosaur hunters
In more reports in China, local people still insist on their traditional beliefs. The dragon is still an important symbol in many cultures, and this appreciation and respect has helped many people to conduct a paaeontological adventure. These areas are often very willing to help scientists bring them to the "keel" and other ancient relics, we know that these relics have been discovered.
