I want to share with you Sun S' the ancient and beautiful medical ethics. It can be found in the preface to a 30-volume book he wrote, entitled "Prescription of Values." This book is the first comprehensive encyclopedia of clinical practice, which has a history of more than 1,000 years.

It contains over 4,500 herbal prescriptions as well as information about acupuncture, massage, diet and exercise. Sun Siwei's life from 581 to 682, his code is considered the basis of Chinese medical ethics. It is based on the principles of Confucianism and Mahayana Buddhism, especially the concept of universal compassion and love. Sun Sixiao is remembered as the "father of Chinese medicine". Every year his hometown still has celebrations to commemorate his life.

On the absolute integrity of great physicians

Whenever a great doctor defeats the disease, he must first calm his spirit and strengthen his determination. He should not give way to desires and desires, but should first develop a sympathetic attitude. He must swear to save the suffering of all beings. If someone asks for help, he must not ask whether the patient is a noble or ordinary person, rich or poor, old or young, beautiful or ugly. Enemies, relatives, good friends, Chinese or barbarians, stupid and clever, are the same.

He should think of them as his closest relatives. He should not be too cautious, worry about omen or his own life. He should look at other people's sufferings as much as himself. He should not hide in the mountains. Day and night, in the cold and hot, hunger, thirst and fatigue, he should go to the rescue with one heart and one mind. People who act in this way are great life doctors. For those who still have the spirit, anyone who violates the behavior is a great thief.
