🇨🇳Chinese prison orphans | 101 East
They are the children of criminals. Their parents are doing some time in Chinese prisons, and some are imprisoned for life for terrible crimes. No one cares for them, there is nowhere to go, Sun Village, a sanctuary in Beijing, brings them in.
Run by a former prison official, Sun Village is helping to nurture the most vulnerable young people in China - teach them cooking and cleaning, and help them cope with their trauma.
In this episode, 101 East met a child who grew up with her parents.
